Spooky Coochie Pussy Festival PHL 2025
Yeah, you heard that right—Spooky Coochie Pussy Festival! Inspired by Doechii’s electrifying track Spookie Coochie, our name is as bold, unapologetic, and femme-powered as the movement behind it. We created this festival because we were tired—tired of watching lineups that barely represented the magic, artistry, and raw talent of Black and Brown queer femmes. Year after year, festival stages were filled with the same faces, the same names, and the same stories—while the voices of our community remained unheard. So, we changed that. Spooky Coochie Pussy Festival is a radical celebration of femme supremacy, queer joy, and boundary-breaking talent. From the underground to the main stage, we’re here to make sure our people take up space, shine bright, and turn the party. Welcome to the most groundbreaking, inclusive event celebrating queer Black and Brown femmes. Headlined by the Jersey Club Queen Cookiee Kawaii with performances by Mec Monroe & Shauna Moon. Sounds by DJ Low Iron & BLACK MDNA. Hosted by Philly’s own Luna Thee Jawnette and Ivy Fischer. Find more incredible events at spookycoochiepussyfestival.com

From soulful basslines to futuristic grooves, we’re bringing you an ode to dance music that honors the rhythms that move us. We return to Warehouse on Watts on Friday, September 5th from 10 PM – 2 AM for another night of unstoppable grooves and pure dance floor magic. Vibes will be curated by Rashaad alongside guest DJs John Jacob and—back to bless the stage—Poetik Selektions, the founding mother of both Play Cousins and BAETRANADA. Making her hosting debut is our cousin Samira, bringing extra warmth and energy to the night. Immerse yourself in stunning visuals by Gitch Jungle and relive the moments captured through the lens of Jo Jo Gabb. It’s more than a party—it’s a celebration of sound, community, and movement. OURfest: CURFEW presents The Carry Nation (NYC)
CURFEW presents a Philadelphia OURfest kick-off Friday night, featuring headlining icons of the New York underground music scene The Carry Nation. Joining The Carry Nation is resident CURFEW DJ kraftwitch, along with hosts Icon Ebony-Fierce, Jimmy and guest performers TBA. The Carry Nation (Nita Aviance and Will Automagic) are DJs and producers whose style is deeply rooted and fundamentally intertwined with the historical arc of New York City’s most affirming nightlife experiences. Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance. She started DJing around the turn of the millennium and was a resident at the infamous Mr. Black and Westgay, both touchstones for queer artistry and culture in downtown nightlife of the early 2000’s. Will has deep roots in NYC club culture, having worked at The Loft and collaborated closely with David Mancuso, holding residencies at many of the downtown New York clubs over the years including The Limelight, Life and Vandam. After dividing his time between NYC and Paris, working on music with fashion houses such as Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood and Yves Saint Laurent, Will returned to DJing dance floors when he co-created SPANK with partners Sean B & Jason Roe. What started as a basement dance party evolved into a roving art-based warehouse party along with a namesake zine. SPANK began to work closely with Horse Meat Disco and the close relationship with that crew has extended in various forms through the years into the present. Currently, Nita and Will perform globally as both individual DJs and, more often, as a duo –they are most recognized for epic extended B2B sets and their wildly successful monthly queer party (also known as The Carry Nation) at Brooklyn’s Good Room. Their range is wide and exciting, and in the New York tradition they effortlessly flow through genres and time periods while keeping a modern edge. Since the inception of The Carry Nation, the duo has toured the world extensively including Glastonbury’s Block 9 and Berlin’s Berghain/Panorama Bar among many others. They also have a residency at Ladyfag’s flagship monthly Battle Hymn. As producers, their credits include releases and remixes on Get Up Recordings, Classic Music Company, TRIBAL, Nervous, TRAX, Batty Bass, TWIRL, W&O Street Tracks and more. Their latest venture is Major Records, an imprint they co-founded with Justin Cudmore to showcase their Majorettes collaboration with releases that are setting dancefloors alight with a fresh but classic house vibe that stays rooted in the excitement of New York’s history and underground.
