About this event Rock The House is back downstairs at Watts on May 6th for another awesome night with N2N! Over the last five years, N2N has become broadly recognized for his blistering marathon sets fueled by infectiously energetic funk. In 2018, he was mentioned by Billboard in its list of the nine best sets from Burning Man, and the year prior he had the opportunity to perform for a global audience in New York’s Mixmag Lab. A self proclaimed disciple of p-funk, his open to close sets seamlessly blending classic funk with a modern twist have become a staple in the genre’s resurgence. In the studio, his versatility shines through, as his groovy feel-good style landed him major label signings with flips of Jackson 5’s ABC and AXSHN’s cover of Khalid’s Location. His gospel-powered collaboration with LEFTI, Juice , has received support from the world’s biggest DJs, including Fatboy Slim, Mark Knight, and Martin Garrix. Beyond the decks, Nick has become an outspoken advocate for mental health and suicide awareness. A survivor himself, he hopes to use his platform to break down the stigma associated with depression andencourage others in similar situations to speak freely in a time heavily dictated by external appearance. Y’all – Strap in for Miranda and The Beat , coined Brooklyn’s garage-soul champions. Fronted by a fierce Miranda Zipse, influenced by the likes of but not limited to: The Dirt Bombs, MC5, The B-52’s and Ronnie Spector. Prepare to snap your fingers, tap your toes, and shake your asses to this soul fueled rock and roll time bomb. The members of The Out-Sect met while living in a Philly junkyard. On weekends, the members would gather to drink beers inside a broken down 1982 GMC Caballero with a copy of Back From The Grave stuck in the car’s cassette player. Instantly being drawn to the trashy sounds of mid-60’s punks, they figured they could write a song half as good as any of those. And that’s what they did! Using instruments they quite literally found in junk piles, the band has managed to write a handful of deranged “songs” that will leave you asking “Dear God, can they please just stop already?!” OC Rippers take some of the best elements of some of the best rock and roll bangers of all time.
