DJ Assault ~ Phreakwency ~ JEWELSSEA

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 9:00 PM Show: 9:00 PM DJ AssaultDetroit’s own Booty Bass pioneer DJ Assault has had a large hand in bringing ghetto-tech, aka booty music, from the urban streets of Detroit to the suburban club circuit. The incorporation of electro beats with hardcore, sometimes pornographic lyrics, is what makes ghetto-house highly distinguishable from its other techno cousins. https://www.instagram.com/djassault1/Phreakwency Born in St. Louis, and raised in South Florida, Phreakwency seeks to offer East Coast clubs an authentic blend of midwest and southern sonics. Determined to strike a chord in the city, he made his debut across FM airwaves on WKDU Philadelphia 91.7 FM as the host of Dog Daze Radio, highlighting Black music and DJs from across the city leading to a residency at North Philadelphia record store, label, and streaming facility, Great Circles, hosting the show, Constructive Interference. Under the banner of the Bass Down Low party, he’s one of three DJs bringing Black electronic music to the forefront of the Philadelphia scene. One thing remains at the core of Phreakwency’s sound: bass, bass, and more bass. Blending the sounds of percussive trax from Chicago, hazy lo-fi crunk samples from Memphis, and the 808 bass culture of Miami, he crafts a sonic experience rooted in the spirit of Sankofa; taking elements from the past that are good and bringing them into the present to make progress in the future. Playing everything from ghetto house to jungle, Phreakwency provides a dancefloor experience you won’t find anywhere else in Philadelphia.https://www.instagram.com/phreakwency/JEWELSSEAJEWELSSEA is a rising star in electronic music, known for her genre-blending and boundary-pushing performances. Hailing from South Philadelphia, the 23-year-old has already made a significant impact on the local scene, co-organizing the groundbreaking ALT + ESC rave series to revive Philly’s underground rave culture. JEWELSSEA’s talent as a DJ and producer has earned her coveted spots at major festivals such as Adult Swim and Making Time, where she’s provided direct support for Overmono, Jamie XX, Tierra Whack, Zack Fox, TisaKorean, F1LTHY, and DJ SWISHA. With a diverse musical palette that spans across genres, JEWELSSEA’s electrifying performances and prolific writing and producing have earned her a dedicated following of fans who eagerly anticipate her next move. Nappi Hour w/ Special Guest DJ Puffy

NAPPI HOUR PHILLY w/ Special Guest DJ PuffyOpening Sets: DJ Olo + MoreSoupPlease10pm. 21+.Founded in 2017 Chicago, Nappi Hour was created for one simple purpose: to create safe spaces for all Blackpeople to feel at home, everywhere. What does that look like? Knowing the amount of diversity that exists amongst us, one singular an-swer doesn’t work. There are a large number of identities within the African Diaspora, and an equally large disconnect between them. Some forgotten, some never learned, and some not celebrated. As a result of this, we noticed a social scene that generalized our people. The experience of going out and having a good time catered to one single monolith at a time. We saw an opportu-nity to build something unique that mixed together all of our cultures to create something great. Using a musical gumbo of the diaspora as a foundation, we curate unique experiences for an inclusive community to bridge the gaps between our people. After success in Chicago, followed by greater success in DC and NYC, Nappi Hour continues to provide experiences that bring us together. So, what does it look like to feel at home, everywhere? It looks like being in a room full of strangers, but recognizing that they are somehow still family. It looks like confidence on the dance floor. It sounds like the dancehall you hear at home often, the afrobeats you’ve recently been introduced to but feel connected to, and the 90’s R&B that brings the crowd togeth-er. It feels like a sense of belonging. There is a level of comfort and carefree energy with us that is incomparable to another. At Nappi Hour, it’s okay to let your hair loose. All sales are final. Must be 21+ to enter. Disclaimer: By attending Nappi Hour, you are agreeing to being including in photo/video for promotional purposes.
