Teenage Bottlerocket ~ Tightwire ~ Crossed Keys

AGE RESTRICTION: All Ages Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMTeenage BottlerocketThey’ve toured the world countless times. They kept the leather jacket – and – Converse look alive through an increasingly neon landscape. They’ve written songs about KISS, Top Gun and Minecraft. Hell, they’ve even been on CNN a few times! Please welcome back to the spotlight Wyoming’s own Teenage Bottlerocket, whose ninth album, the 12 – track Sick Sesh! — traffic – cone – orange cover art and all — will be released 08/27/2021 on Fat Wreck Chords. “This record is 12 songs because 14 was too long,” cracks vocalist/g uitarist Ray Carlisle. “We wanna keep the energy up.” Recorded in November 2020 at the Blasting Room (the band’s eighth straight full – length with producer Andrew Berlin), Sick Sesh! is a little bit rougher around the edges than the last few TBR albums, fr om the haunting “Statistic” to the panic – inducing “Strung Out On Stress” to the buzzsaw lead of “Semi Truck.” According to Carlisle, that was on purpose. “We spent a lot of time on guitar tones this time around — that was important for us,” he says. ““We made sure to bring the noisy, loud, irritate your fuckin’ mom guitar back. There’s a ton of intentional guitar noise and feedback. We dug up the amps we used for Freak Out! and They Came From The Shadows . This is punk rock, after all. Stay Rad! Is a great record, but it’s very radio friendly. I wanted to do the opposite of that: Let’s get fuckin’ noisy.” While the bulk of Sick Sesh! was written in January 2020 (with “Statistic” actually co – written between Carlisle and his son Milo), the COVID pandemic allow ed for the band to take a little extra time for fine tuning, and the resulting tracks are some of the most stylistically diverse on the record. First up, there’s the Templeman – penned “Strung Out On Stress,” the fastest, angriest track on Sick Sesh! , all ab out losing your mind during the pandemic. On the flipside, there’s the mid – tempo, melodic track “The Squirrel,” written by bassist Miguel Chen and sung by Templeman, that’s literally about a cute little rodent. KeysChances are, if you’ve been paying attention to the Philadelphia underground music scene in the past two decades, you’ve seen one or two members of Crossed Keys before, although it’s very likely that you’ve seen them all. The members of Crossed Keys have a long history of playing in hardcore and punk bands from the area including Kid Dynamite, Ink & Dagger, Step Ahead, Kill The Man Who Questions, Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, Halo of Snakes, and The Curse. Crossed Keys draw from an eclectic palette of influences to create a unique twist on a sound that has been cultured in years of basement shows and record shops. Crossed Keys has gotten a lot older, a little wiser, and lost varying amounts of hair, but still makes music perfect for sweaty singalongs and all around good

Bent Knee ~ Sarina

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Bent KneeBent Knee are not a band for convention. In fact, since forming in 2009, the Boston-based six-piece have been on a constant journey of musical exploration that thoroughly disregards it. The result is five records that completely defy categorization and transcend genre. In other words, the band don’t just break the rules, they make up their own. That’s ensured they exist exclusively on their own terms. Frosting, the band’s sixth full-length, pushes those boundaries even further. It’s the most Bent Knee-esque Bent Knee record to date, which means that, simultaneously, it’s also the album of theirs that sounds the least like Bent

Kingsmen ~ Rise Among Rivals ~ Zonezero ~ Illusion Of Solace ~ Coal

**All shows 21+—valid ID required** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM KINGSMEN Sitting in producer Zach Jones’ two-room studio in North Hollywood, summer 2021, Kingsmen vocalist Tanner Guimond was in the midst of recording a new song when the space beside him suddenly erupted with a burst of immense excitement. Simultaneously workshopping what would become their titular track ‘Bones Don’t Lie,’ his fellow bandmates had cranked their speakers up to the max just as a riveting breakdown was born, permeating the soundproofed walls and catapulting Guimond’s creative neurons into a quick crescendo of impromptu inspiration. Exchanging a swift nod of approval with fellow producer Josh Strock before charging over to belt out the word ‘smash!’, the frontman recognized a turning point in the making. RISE AMONG RIVALS  Rise Among Rivals, a modern rock group based out of Baltimore MD. Since forming in the summer of 2017, honest expression has been a top priority. Icon For Hire ~ Hooked Like Helen

**All Ages** Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Icon For HireIcon for Hire is an American rock band from Decatur, Illinois. Formed in 2007, the band’s current lineup consists of singer Ariel Bloomer and lead guitarist Shawn Jump. Like HelenIn a house in the woods about 40 miles west of Cleveland, Hooked Like Helen began as the musical brainstorms of husband-and-wife, Jon and Nikki Stipp. Experimental home recordings quickly developed into an alt-pop vision; within a year of the project’s inception, Nikki and Jon had shaped a new sound that reflected their truth and their influences in a seamless blend of organic and electronic production. The band’s 2019 five song EP, Tragedy Of Physics, co-produced by Nikki and long-time friend and collaborator, Grammy-winning Isha Erskine (Ziggy Marley, The Black Eyed Peas), garnered international attention: The music video for the angsty-beautiful piano ballad “Liar” premiered on Radio Disney platforms and received a nomination for Best Independent Music Video from the esteemed Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The song was included in an emotional scene in the motion picture, High Strung: Free Dance and subsequently generated a flood of streams and downloads via the film’s soundtrack. Starring Thomas Doherty (Disney’s Descendants 2 and 3), and Jane Seymour, the film was released on Netflix on May 31st, 2020 and prominently features “Liar” in an emotional, groundbreaking dance sequence choreographed by Tyce Diorio (So You Think You Can Dance, Taylor Swift’s ‘ME!’).
