House Rules
Realty Records is excited to bring you the debut of our brand new series, “House Rules”. The goal of this series is to showcase Realty Records artists as well as breaking top tier artists into the Philly scene, in an intimate setting that gives fans an accessible live experience. Realty Records has built a reputation for having one of the nicest crowds in house music and cultivating a community that is as accepting as they are as fun.Introducing our first of two headliners – Masteria: Armed with a signature sound that leans towards the darker side of house music, MASTERIA has carved a brazen path for himself in the world of electronic music. The Detroit-based producer uses his music as a portal to “escape reality” with his listeners, leading them into a sinister world full of gritty bass lines and ominous synths. His signature sound has earned him support from some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Tiesto, Diplo, Afrojack, Jauz, Marshmello, and AC Slater. With recent releases on dance labels including Musical Freedom, mau5trap, Insomniac Records, Confession, and Dim Mak, it is clear that the global pandemic has not slowed down this producer’s output. With the trajectory MASTERIA’s career is currently on, you can be sure that he will be “escaping reality” with fans across the globe for many years to come. Following that up we have our second headliner – Ekonovah: Originating from Phoenix, Arizona Ekonovah is on a simple mission: to influence the electronic music scene with a new sound. After finding his voice, the 24-year-old is creating his identity by emphasizing musical integrity, danceable grooves, and a refreshing departure from the sound of mainstream electronic music. Playing cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and festivals like EDC LV and Bonnaroo, Ekonovah is leaving his sonic footprint across the Nation thanks to his distinguished sound. After catching the attention of world-famous DJs like Porter Robinson and Steve Aoki by blending clever sound design in an unexplored context, Ekonovah is crafting his own niche within the Electronic Dance Community. We are looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces on the dance floor soon. 🙂

Philadelphia Dub International presents O.B.F. meets Iration Steppas US Tour – Session Three Philadelphia Dub International is the latest Series of Soundsystem Sessions Hosted by House of Roots SoundSystem presented by Dumplin & Chips. Featuring the finest in Deep Roots Reggae and Dub from around the globe including Selectors, Producers and Artists, powered by and alongside Sir Phillpotts House of Roots Heartical Dub Machine. This landmark tour features two legends of the international Dub Soundsystem movement. We are honored to be hosting the Philadelphia leg of this eight city US tour. Not enough can be said of the impact these two crews have had and continue to have on the rise of the international dub movement. Iration Steppas / Biography Founded by Mark Iration and Dennis Rootical, Iration Steppas burst onto the UK sound system scene in the 90s with a futuristic take on dub music. While being inspired by Jamaican roots reggae, their artistry was also massively influenced by hip hop, house and other electronic music, using techno and acid sounds in a way that had never been heard before. In the last 30 years, Iration Steppas has become a major player in the international dub scene. The crew has touched down on every continent shelling the dancehalls and leaving a huge impact on producers and sound systems alike. Often copied, never matched and always at the top of their game, Iration Steppas have clearly set new trends and shaped the history of dub. O.B.F. / Biography O.B.F (Original Bass Foundation) are a French dub and experimental reggae sound system based on the outskirts of Geneva. The crew, initially made up of producer & selector Rico, operator G and manager Stef rose up in the mid 2000s with their forward thinking dub music. Heavily influenced by Jamaican reggae, 90s UK dub and contemporary urban music, O.B.F’s sound is distinctive and versatile. They started off as an underground sound system mostly playing at Genevan squat parties. The unique sounds of Rico’s productions rapidly gained hype within the dub community and in 2006 O.B.F started putting on their own nights at “Le Zoo” L’Usine, Geneva’s biggest club. Since then, their notorious “Dubquake” nights have become a true institution in the European night scene. The interest around the sound system has grown exponentially ever since. House of Roots Heartical Dub Machine is a Deep Roots Reggae SoundSystem based in Philadelphia USA. Playing the best in conscious reggae from around the globe inna heavyweight dubwise style on the custom built analog soundsystem that is the Heartical Dub Machine. Built through the inspiration on H.I.M Rastafari and in the tradition of the Jamaican and UK Soundsystems of old and new. House of Roots is a true WORD, SOUND, POWER experience.
