Join Rock the House for a special Halloween show at Warehouse on Watts! Legend has it that every October 28th the ghosts of local DJs arise from beneath the floorboards of Warehouse on Watts to haunt their friends who ask for guest list too many times. This year, those DJs happen to be some of Philly’s finest and they’re ready to make you meddling kids shake and shiver! Rock the House is proud to present HAUNT THE HOUSE, a night full of bloodcurdling B2B sets and Halloween mischief! Battle of Xi Bands
Save the date for Battle of Xi Bands! This event is a benefit concert run by the Alpha Xi Delta chapter of Temple University. All proceeds will be donated to FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, which help to raise money and give resources to youth living in foster care or without housing. Six local bands will face off to be the audience’s favorite by the end of the night. Attendees will have the chance to vote ($1=1 vote) throughout the event for their favorite performance, and the winner will be announced at the end. Get tickets now for live music, great food, and more! Featured genres include Indie, Alternative, Rock, and Blues (or a frankenstein mixture of the four). Places that were once for us have been co-opted for profit and as such, the Gayborhood has gained a pretty gnarly reputation. The Philly LGBTQ community has been vocal about it’s need for more places in which to exist in peace, without drunk handsy bachelorettes or $20 cocktails.💋 Firestone
